The group is making a YOG related shirt. It will include the mascots and the slogans of YOG. It would be in red in colour.
As I did not attend lesson 11 I am not to sure of which direction to head. I feel that improving the design would be a good idea.
I learnt many things about the yog through the research made. I learnt that there are 2 mascots and 26 sports in the YOG.
I think we should design the shirt then ask the public for opinions on how to improve the shirt so that more people will like it.

today,

we passed Mrs Neo our sketches for the design for the shirt and she said that we can either do more sketches to have more choices to come up with or do the finalized product and make some changes to the design that we had shown her. in the end, we would have to take some photos and post it on the blog, that would be Yi Hong's job as i am the one sketching and he will be the one taking the photos, finally, i will pass the designs to Tze Hee to decide on which design first before passing to Yong Quan to print out. i think the most difficult part of the project was to sketch out the designs as the design related to YOG are very hard. but as the saying goes, no pain no gain. so i will still continue to strive hard and assist my teammates in every aspect.

reflection on lesson 11

today, i found out that i had missed out on something crucial!!! i forgot to add in some crucial questions for the design of the shirt(like:should the shirt be long or short sleeve) and as a result we faced some problems here and there.but not to worry, i will try my best to make amends and come out with a better design then the one i had earlier planned. i should be able to finish the design in one and a half weeks time. pls encourage me further. thx

hi everyone, so sorry about forgetting to do my reflections. i sincerely hope to remember to do my reflections from now onwards. anyway. my duty during lesson 10 was to sketch out a design with Yi Hong for the shirt and then pass it to Yong Quan who is in charge of locating the shop. i have given him a suggestion which is near my house at toa payoh. i will try to do my best to finish the design ASAP and pass it to Yong Quan. Reflection On Lesson 12

Today,

We shown Mrs Neo, our IPW teacher and was told to amend some of the sketches and we continued on the slogans, designs, mascots which should be present on the shirt. We were then told to take a picture of our finalized work and post it on the blog.

I felt that the most difficult part of the project is sketching out our T-Shirts. However, the carrying out of survey was more time consuming. Our group spread out to different MRT stations consuming lots of time. Despite the time consumption, teamwork and commitment is important. We are supposed to write our individual reflection each week and I was dutiful in carrying out those task despite the tight schedule of tuition, enrichment classes and CCA activities.

That day, yongquan and I went or NCC training, thus, we missed lesson 11, but we will still try to catch up with the group.

this lesson we came up with the design and made a sketch of the t-shirt, the t-shirt includes the most common things that could be seen in the YOG. we forgot some question we should have included in our survey we decided ourselves.even though we got the idea already and even started sketching.there is still alot more to do before we complete the project.so we must work together and strive to achive the best we could.

Lesson 10

this lesson done most of our works and the sketching of the design of the t-shirts has started.The survey results help out alot in the sketching of the design. My job for the shirt is to find out where is the cheapest and the best place to create our shirts. Most likely we will be making the shirt at toa payoh as the offer a reasonable price. At the rate we are going the shirt would be done very soon.

Reflection On Lesson 11

Today,

Only three of us, Teng Kok Kwin, Teoh Yi Hong and me were present for the IPW class as both Teo Yong Quan and Tay Tze Hee went for their NCC activities.

The three of us sketched out our drawings, agreeing that at both sides of the sleeves would be a Olympic 5 circle ring. Singapore Flag on our around our left side of our chest, the YOG symbol on the right and the mascots one in the front and one at the back. Our T-Shirts are long sleeve. The final sketch would be posted by either Teng Kok Kwin or Teoh Yi Hong.

today we done some brainstorming about the product and we have started on our "jobs". Me and marcus shall do the sketching while yong quan find the shop to make t shirts in Toa Payoh. So we will continue with our work next lesson, and if this pace keeps up, we will be done soon and we will be able to get ready to do the next thing such as preparing the oral presentation and so on

Reflection 10

My classmate Wayne, posted the survey results on the post before his reflection. So today, we decided to think of the designs on or T-shirt, Marcus and Yi Hong sketch designs of the T-shirts. Yong Quan will be in-charge of the printing of the designs which is somewhere in Toa-Payoh. So, our team will be creating more designs next lesson to find which is the best and creative designs.

Today,

I had posted the tabulated survey results in the previous post.

Today what my team and I did was decide on the designs of our T-shirts. As mentioned in the earlier reflection few weeks ago, Teoh Yi Hong and Teng Kok Kwin, would sketch out the logo and agreed designs of the T-shirt on a peice of blank paper. After which, Teo Yong Quan would be in-charge of finding the printing shop to make the T-Shirt. We have one shop in mind already in the vicinity of Toa Payoh which is of great convenience. We hope to complete the project flawlessly. Good Luck Team !!!

Today, we did a presentationto Mrs Neo regarding the survey results, we also found out that we have done our presentation wrongly, we should do it on the day when we are to, not drag, and drag and drag. Next lesson we will start to do our masterpiece, which is the T-Shirt for YOG.

this lesson we presented our findings to our teacher.we found out that our presentation had a lot of mistakes and we were suppose to present our project to five teachers in the future. the teacher told us some points we must improve on and so we will work our hardest to improve it. next lesson we can start doing our "jobs" we were assigned to and start our project as we have already gotten the results of our survey. we will all do our "jobs" as good as possible.

Today,

My team and I presented our group survey results through power point to out teacher and have been approved for our tabulated results.

We worked our survey by facebook, studywiz, and going to the public to carry out our survey. We have successfully completed our survey and will hence carry on our next step of out project.

hi everyone,

this week we had to compile all the results for the survey but due to the absence of our group leader, we could not tabulate the results as all the results were saved in his laptop and nobody remembers the results. as such, we had no choice but to continue with the lesson and i had to call up Tay Tze hee to remind him about the survey questions and also to update him on the lesson. as we had very little to do, we ended quite fast and the only bad thing was that the Leader tay tze hee did not come and we were forced to do the homework on the other days.

This week, we did not complete much things as our leader was absent therefore it would be completed next week. We proceded doing the things that we missed out like tabulating the survey results. Next week would be a busy week as we need to rush our work that was left over last week

I did not attend this lesson, so I have no idea what to do, but what i know from my friends, is that the survey is not done yet, thus, we will have to work harder and quickly complete the survey, tabulate the results, then we can design our T-shirt.

this week we were suppose to have completed the survey and present our findings to the teacher,but due to the absence of our leader which had all the survey results we faced a set back therefore we would have to do it next week which would affect the amount of time for us to do the project,therefore we have to work harder the next lesson to catch up and start on our product as soon as possible.due to the set back marcus teng will write the survey analysis and the rest of us will edit it.

Today, we created our survey questions. We should tabulate our results next week, and hope to design on the T-shirt by next month. Our survey will be posted on both studywiz and facebook. We will be printing it out hardcopies if the response is bad. This survey is very important as it will help us to do the T-shirt faster and better.

Today,

Mrs Neo have told us to present our survey questions to her. However, one of our group members, Tay Tze Hee have been absent. Tay Tze Hee is responsible for storing our group documents. Hence we are unable to present it and was told to tabulate the results and post it one the blog.

Also, this week we are suppose to display our survey findings, analysis and conclusion. Marcus Teng Kok Kwin would be in-charge of first writing the post and the group members would consequently help in adding on.

Individually,we are to write our knowledge base on our carried out survey. Our personal findings of the survey and what we learned from it. From there, we would derive out what we would do with the survey results. Good Luck Team !!!

This week, we created our survey and conducted the survey. We will tabulate the result next week and hope that we can start designing the t-shirt. Our surveys were posted on studywiz and facebook. As only a small amount of people replied, we will have to print out a hardcopy and do the survey in the public. I feel that conducting the survey in public would be the greatest obstacle in our work. The survey is important to us as it would help us create our t-shirt faster and better.

we worked on our survey questions and posted it on facebook or studywiz as this way it would be easier to get people to do our survey. we hope to have enough people do our survey already and can already tabulate the results and start designing the shirt at the start of term 2. coming up with the survey question was quite an difficult task as we had to brainstorm about the possibilities of what the shirt can be like and turn them into question, though the survey was quite a difficult task there will be much more difficulty when designing the shirt, and i will do my best to play my part.

We worked on our worked on our survey questions as we forgotten to save our worked document. We have decided to send our survey questions through the school E-Learning portal, studywiz, and facebook. As soon as our survey have been carried out, we would start working on our design for our T-shirts. Although working and carrying out the survey is a tedious task, the designing of T-shirts would prove to be more challenging.

today we continued to do the survey questions as we had forgotten to save the document the last lesson.we are supposed to send out the survey questions through facebook or studywiz and Mrs Neo said it was fine.i hope to finish the doing the survey questions by this week and get the results fast so that my team can do the design of the shirt earlier and can have more time to do the design so that if anything is wrong, we will still have time to edit the work done. come to think of it now, i dont think that doing the survey is the most challenging task, the hardest task should be designing the shirt as i think that my skills of drawing is lousy and need to try and improve on it so that the design is perfect. i will strive to perfect my design and hope that my team too can overcome this obstacle this time round. this week, we had to do the most challenging part of this GRACE project: that is to do surveys for the project. we had to collect people's views and opinions to decide on what kind of design or colour for example, that they prefer. our surey is targetted at mostly youths as the YOG is meant for the youths to participate in. we learnt how to conduct a survey and how a survey question should look like as we went through the powerpoint slides on lesson 6. i sincerely hope that my team can pass through this challenge and emerge as one of the better teams. What do i know about surveys?
Surveys are like quizes or questions to find out more about the public. The reliability of the survey depends on the number of people in the survey. Usually the more people there is the more accurate it would be.
What i think about surveys?
i feel that surveys are very helpful in assisting us in finding out what we need. For example , if we want to design a shirt, we can make 4 different shirts we conduct a survey. The one with the most votes would be the best one. Therefore a survey allows us to find out about what we need.
What have i learnt from the survey?
Currently we are still doing the survey.
What can i do after the survey?
we can work out what is best for our project based on the survey

We need to do surveys!!!!

This is one of the most challenging part of the project so far!

Due to CT1, we don't have enough time to do our project, but don't worry, we'll catch up!

I planned to use studywiz to ask other people for their suggestion and I will also post it on the class blog, facebook too!

So there will be more advices for us to look at in order to make or T-shirt an almost perfect one:D

what i know about surveys?
survey's are based on a question and is conducted by asking a large amount of people the same question to see their response towards the questions. surveys can be in the form of options or open ended. surveys help us to know what the public likes or don't like.
what i think about surveys?
i think surveys are very helpful as they help us to find out what the majority likes and dislikes and therefore our design of the shirt we are doing or the material etc will be what the athletes like.
what i found out in the survey?
we don't know yet as we have not done the survey.
what i can do after the survey?
we can use the result to create a shirt that best fits the likes of the athletes in the YOG 2010

Today, my group and I read up on powerpoint lesson 6 survey skills and have learnt the right ways of conducting a survey.

Here are two examples of our survey question. What design should we put on the T-Shirt if our theme is Youth Olympics Game? What material would be a comfortable sports wear?

So far our group has came this far and we are yet to discuss more survey questions and go on to the next step of our project.

During lesson 5 we discussed about what we needed to do. My job was to locate a store to produce the shirt. I am also in charge of choosing the material for it. We will have to do our best in order to produce the best T-shirt that we can. If one of us did not do their part our project would be delayed.

this week we have allocated the jobs to all our members and we all have different jobs.even though we have all different jobs working together is still an important factor as all the jobs have connections with each other and one person not doing their job would result as a delay for the rest of the group therefore we will all have to work together and complete our task the best we can

for the forth lesson we had to get all our guiding questions out and start trying to answer them there are many of them to answer and to work on therefore all our group members must work together to help each other at achieving the highest possible quality of work.

Mrs Neo asked us to do our project allocation and also project planners. Mrs Neo also warned Marcus that if he continue to stop doing his reflection, he will lose many valuable marks. I forgotten to do something important: printing of weekly worksheets! But luckily, Yi Hong downloaded already. Our group went on to discuss the final product which we would be creating which is the T-shirt for the Youth Olympics Games athletes. today i learnt that we need the guiding questions for the making of the shirt. We need to know what would be good for the shirt that would make it comfortable. Also we need to have the right things in mind in order to make a good shirt for the athletics.

Today, each of us contributed our ideas on a chart on what we are going to do for our topic YOG.

Since we have decided on a T-Shirt for the sportsmen, we when on to discuss what to design on the T-Shirt. We then decided to make designs based on the theme Uniquely Singapore.

From the first lesson, I learned that having teamwork is very important. In order to finish this project efficiently, we must work hard together.

I think that the purpose of this project is to train us to work with our peers to complete a project. In this project, each of us must contribute to the team blog. In this case, the teachers are able to track our progress and know that every group members are participating. My role in the project is the BLOG EDITOR.

Today I learn about what to do for our GRACE project, our roles, and brainstorming about the theme. The leader is Kok Kwin, Wayne and I are the bloggers. Yong Quan is the time keeper, Yi Hong is a ordinary group memeber. Kok Kwin suggested the theme to be YOG, and that we create a T-shirt for the athletes to wear after their individual events. The design must be creative, realistic(something regarding singapore). I hope that our group can work together and achieve the best !

my reflection

After the first lesson of grace I know that we have to work together or else we would fail this subject. We also must come up with some useful ideas that would help our topic in one way or another.

In think there are many ideas and topics out there and I just cannot choose but I will go with YOG as it is a current event held in Singapore. We could design some shirts for the contestants to wear before their events start.

I want to find out how these things would contribute to society and help us. I also want to find out how important collaboration is and how it affects the outcome of this project as the less collaborative the team the lousier their projects will be.

I can help with coming up with Ideas, as I am not that good in any other perspective.
